Aura Energy is an Australian based polymetallic focused company that has major projects with large resources in Europe and Africa. Since listing on the ASX in 2006, Aura has grown by acquiring new projects in areas with known polymetallic and uranium occurrences such as Sweden and in greenfields areas such as Mauritania. Aura’s focus is currently on the near term production and low capex Tiris Uranium Project, located in the Sahara Desert of Mauritania which has a JORC Compliant Inferred Resource of 49 million pounds U 3 O 8 with an average grade of 334 ppm U 3 O 8 . A simple beneficiation process can bring this grade up to a concentrate of circa 2500 ppm U 3 O 8 . Aura’s development work also continues at the world scale Häggån Project, located in Sweden’s Alum Shale Province and which is one of the largest deposits of vanadium and battery group metals in the world. Significantly, Häggån has an Inferred Resource of 7,870 Mlbs V, 1,640 Mlbs Ni, 2,230 Mlbs Zn, 1,070 Mlbs Mo and 803 Mlbs U 3 O 8 . Häggån will emerge, as this project is developed, to be one of the most important and strategic polymetallic projects in Europe. The company is driving growth by having established JORC compliant resources in Mauritania and Sweden. Considerable potential exists to expand resources in both countries, led by a strengthened board and highly experienced management team. The locations where Aura’s projects are situated have a long history of mining and the regions are committed to their mining industries. Sweden has a well-developed nuclear power industry that is a significant contributor to its economy.
